From the recording You Turned The Tables On Me

You Turned the Tables On Me: We knew from the first note that effortlessly glided out of Carol Sloane’s mouth that she was the real deal; she is a jazz singer who’s voice is truly an instrument. She proved her place right next to Sarah and Ella during her show, and again later that evening as she happened by our bandstand in The Polo Lounge. We were in the middle of this song when Ms. Sloane nonchalantly proceeded to scat around and about the music, skillfully weaving her voice in and out of mine, as if we had rehearsed it a hundred times.
