What Took You So Long?: Rich and I began our musical journey together in 1994, and oh what a wonderful ride it continues to be. I had always wanted to express my love and gratitude for him in a song, but it was only after seeing Jim Caruso perform that I finally found my muse. Jim is such a dynamic entertainer who through the course of an hour brought us to tears with his rendition of “If I Only Had A Brain” and then to fits of bellyaching laughter with his often self deprecating humor and offbeat songs. I was instantly moved to write this little ditty for Rich in that same spirit of fun.
